Does anyone still remember Microsoft buying the microsoft-Sony and the sony-Microsoft domain names last year? If Sony does not turn things around (and it won't be soon if they do), I see something happening. As in Xbox Station.

Still, amazingly, SON¥'s cheerleading squad here in the forums clamors for another pricecut in the interest of satiating fanboy pride. I wonder if they'll keep at it. Hmmm... yeah, they will.

I dont think they were lying...those comments were made during the month of december (i think somewhere in the middle) which at that point sales probably were on track for 15m. Id say it was the lacklustre performance of december's final weeks that spoilt things. I mean december sales were lower than november, dont think thats ever happend before.

Well i think it was a lose lose situation for Sony, if they hadnt dropped the price and sales performed considerably worse than what they are, then we would be hearing about all the doom and gloom about how sony is being dominated by MS and losing the market to competitors.
Atleast with these sales they have a chance of being up YOY and highlighting the strenth of the brand and its continued growth (although i think they will ship below 14m), into its 6th year. Its not always about raw profits, sometimes a good outlook on a certain product/brand name can be more beneficial imo.
Kaz better has a good plan for the future.

Oh, I just snapped it while I'm here hanging out with Kaz. Or I was. Actually, it's kind of funny. I saw him take off his belt and go into a closet about a half hour or so ago. He's been in there a while now. Wonder what he's doing?
Wow I did expect huge loss from sony but the most I could think about is arould 1 billion.
Really a tough time for japanese companies,the governor should do something to lower the yen.
