The PSP is already a laughing point due to no good games coming out for some time, not to mention the complete lack of SW sales. Just how will all these features encourage people to buy the PSP? It's supposed to be a gaming device, not an iphone.

The fourth point made me laugh......it really did. You mean to tell me that they didn't use the chance to inform if any new games are in developement? With such an ideal event happenning? My dear God, can that mean that there are NO good games in developement as of right now? That none of the companies are doing anything?? These games may yet be announced, but they may happen to get released at the end of 2008 at the earliest. By that time only a select few HC gamers may even remember about those games. And no one knows if these games will turn out to be good.

This is not a showcase of power and brilliance from Sony, it's a showcase of failure and lack of ideas of how to attract gamers. Want proof that something is not right with the PSP in public perception? Check out PSP HW&SW numbers for others for the week ending January 5th, total HW sales for all regions and weekly SW sales, this device is a gaming failure in my book. Why ? It doesn't attract gamers.

I think it's more like being a "fan" is cool, while being a "fanboy" just seems silly, to me anyway. I'm a Nintendo fan, but I definitely won't swallow every piece of garbage they send my way.

Yet during that first year you still felt justified stealing games. I don't care how you justified it, it is still wrong and you're the reason why the PSP doesn't have the library it should have.

You can sit there and convince yourself that it was because it didn't have games worth paying for, that you just wanted to test them out first, that you were making backups, or that you aren't the one that enabled the pirating, but the simple truth is that you did pirate the games and you are one of the people that are fucking up the game industry.

Wow, a big list of games, congratulations. How well do you think all those games sold? I'm not denying the PSP has some decent games (it's fun to joke it doesn't like people like to joke the Wii is two Gamecubes duct taped together) unless you're a big name like Final Fantasy or the likes, I'm guessing they don't sell too well.

Developers aren't idiots and know that pirating is rampant on the PSP so when given the choice of making a game on a handheld, the PSP doesn't look like the best choice. Would you want to put in 100+ hour weeks into a game just so some little snot can download it for free and take away money from your paycheck? No, of course not.

I don't care what anybody says, these features seem pretty cool to me. I've already had my eye on some PSP games and with all the extra features, it starts to seal the deal for me. Two of my room mate's friends have a PSP and one has it hacked and played NES emulated games and such all the time (which is pretty cool by the way). I'd really want both a PSP and DS, but it's difficult since I'm not a huge handheld person. However, the PSP offering a convergence of many features is really making me want one more and more. Then, the fact that I already have a PS3 furthers the options with streaming and such.

<3 My PSP :D I think the features there adding are incredible ^_^ Hell if anything there just trying to sell it to more "potential" game buyers at this point.

My whole thing with the games, is that I just won't pay $40 for a handheld game. If Sony set the average price to $30, and $20 greatest hits AVERAGE. I would be more than willing to buy more software. I went to go pick up guitaroo man and gamestop had it used for 37! WTF. I simply refuse :P If they really aren't selling any software why don't they just lower the regulated cost?
