Shame on all of you with the same old psp has no games crap. if you look for good game you will find them. the thing is the software sales aren't up to par with install base. alot of psp owners just don't like the pricing on some games. there just aren't enough game worth full price in most gamers eyes, and I agree. however there are tons of great games now worth the reduced price. so go pick those up I sure have.

after 1 year of haveing my psp hacked and playing everything for free I bought a game. Ratchet and clank size matters cause i felt it was worth the price. next i paid for Jeanne D'Arc Well worth every penny, and finally Metal Gear Solid PO for 20bux a year after release and Castlevania Dracula X cronicals for 20 bux from amazon DOTD.

 the next 2 games I willing to pony up money for is FF7 CC and GOW COO in march. also might pick up patapon if i like it.

 neat features I guess, though I'll be honest, I can't see people using their psp as a phone when they can just use the free one they got with their cell plan which is 1/3rd the size.

As a point of interest, do people actually use all of these 'neat' little features they add into the psp? A couple of my friends used to talk about how the PSP had 1001 features and the DS had none in comparison, then they got PSP's and all they use it for is playing games. The reason I ask, is if you never use any of these features, wouldn't it of been nice to simply not have them and not have to pay for them in the first place? I dunno, Sony seems willing to have 'lite' versions of the PS3 with striped down functionality, I wonder if they ever considered that for the psp.

1. Yeah, I have a phone and it's smaller than a PSP and a lot handier.
2. Woopty-de-freaking-do. It could be useful but there are already so many other things that already do this who really cares even if people really did care.
3. Meh, my phone probably has the same quality camera and if not, I have a digital camera that's even when placed with my phone is smaller than the PSP.
4. Right, don't hold your breath. I bet it's going to be confirmation that God of War is coming and it looks good, some SE game, and something people don't care about.

How much would a 16 GB Memory stick cost? I wouldn't doubt if it went for as much as 100$. But even then that would be a good deal for just having around as well. Like a mini-harddrive.

First of all, a reply to you previous post: when a new add-on comes out for the ipod, do as many people go on message boards and say it sucks? I'm sure if they don't like it they ignore it more than these new features. If you don't want a GPS or a camera that saves directly to your PSP, then don't get it! It's still great at a lot of things without those add-ons, but it's nice to have options!

The blu-ray rips for PSP use is the greatest announced feature, though, and should put an end to UMD movies.

As for the quoted post: he's saying, like thousands of others have said, that if you use custom firmware it is hard to justify buying games. Still, it's a great media device even without buying games. About the games...there are more games 75 and higher on gamerankings.com than the DS (yes, I know some are ports, similar to PS2 games, etc, etc...the fact is there are a lot of great games on the PSP...in fact, 101 over 75%).

Yeah, not too long ago I bought a 4gb for $70 or so.  It's the highspeed sandisk version, but others were $60 I think. 

 the first year i had the psp there were no game worth buying!! thats why i made the statment that i started buying when i felt that there were game that were worth it and not some broken port from the ps2. that first year none of the games i played for free was worth beating also it was a time before they had demo's. I paid my 300 bux for the hardware in early 2006 . and the PSP Does have a great library and will continue to cause is been long proven that if you make a great game and advertize them people will buy psp games. 30 million people aren't hacking the psp.  in all honesty  at most may 1 million of the base is  hacking it. its all the people that have psp's just sitting around in there house collecting dust that is the problem.

Trolling the thread from the begining wasn't a good start buddy so just relax. Im also pretty damn sure i spent alot more money on games then you have in 07. 

If you look at the chart windbane just provided you will see that i purchased 4 games in 2007 in the psp top 20 rankings. all of which i had downloaded the full game before hand but felt they were well worth paying for.

seriously there is nothing great about the PSP. It ain't worth it. It only has ps2 games but on a handheld.

 the 8gb stick price has been dropping lately pricgrabber has the 8gb as low as $105. the average price is $130 for it.
