Feels like the thing is doomed to fail. Which is quite depressing since it's actually got games this time unlike the PSP's launch. Seems the 'core' gamer cares not for handhelds.

As for advertising, Sony's best bet is to get a bunch of models with US flag bikinis, while holding a hotdog and a Vita dancing around with a guy dressed up as Captain American singing star spangled banner while pretending the Vita is as American as it gets. Something reminiscent of this year's Captain America movie. While sex sells in the rest of the Western world, patriotism sells in America.

They can promise 1 firmware patch per week just like in Japan, right out the launch.

The patch was mostly to prevent piracy in which homebrew developers were able to figure out how to emulate the PSP emulator within the vita's core system.

It's about time Sony step their efforts up in this department, none of what's in the poll will cut it.

Vita is a cutting edge peice of tech and it needs sophisticated advertising.

What did they do to make the PS1 and PS2 successful, why cant they do that again o.o

I have no idea, but just because it worked 10 - 15 years ago doesn't mean it'll fit today, actually I'm certain it won't.
