21 hours in, fucking loving every bit of this game.

I'm doing a little bit of main story quests, but shit... you don't even have to! There's so MUCH other things you can do besides the storyline it's insane! I made a Wood Elf, raising Sneak/Archery, next I'm doing Light Armor/One-Handed Weapons.

I love this game. I'm so glad I bought it, took the time to read about it before I bought it, I can safely say it exceeded my expectations.

When I'm not working, or out with my buddies, I'm at home playing Skyrim. Need I say more?

Excuse the language, but... it's Skyrim!

Yeah , i'm glad more people are getting into the Elder Scrolls universe

i myself am actually thinking of going back to the Spin offs to play them especially "Elder Scrolls Adventures : Redguard" , most interesting thing about this is that it isn't an RPG , but more of an Action Adventure spin off , your character actually talks and his name is Cyrus a redguard pirate, what is interesting, is that he was mentioned in Oblivion when you talk to some pirates in the imperial city (the ones that attack you if you get near their ship... if i remember right) , its amazing how huge the backstory of The Elder Scrolls games are , not to mention the books, i've got to read those as well someday.

Im so glad loads are with me. I just cant stop. Arrrrrrggggghhhhhhh.

My eyess bleed with no sleep.

if skyrim, doesn't look good on your pc its probably your pc and not skyrim,@ dude who complained about visuals
playing it on the same pc that could handle oblivion is not an option

Skyrim isn't the best looking PC game by any means but it still looks good, especially with all the different weather/sky effects.

Yes, its not as detailed and realistic to say other games that try that, but it is beautiful and much better looking than those games.

i mean what so good about realism? , you see that everyday, but you don't see a giant city ontop of a mountain chain that has a river under it.

ive played skyrim for a long time now, and while i love it, there are reasons to get annoyed..

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

Why would you say that? I'm playing on a high end rig with everything maxed and the visuals are not that good imo. The art direction is fantastic but the overall visual quality is not great, and certainly a huge step down from what Oblivion was when it launched. You know what though? Its fine, but don't blame the computers if someone isn't blown away by the graphics. Perhaps you're not used to PC games? There are some sensational looking games out there, The Witcher 2, for instance, makes this look like Oblivion (yes, The Withcer is not free-roaming, no need to remind me). The textures in Skyrim are oftentimes horrible, animations are still robotic and the foliage looks rather poor in most places (foliage is a tough one). There will be mods around after a while which adress these issues though, Oblivion had some incredible mods that made the game not only awesome visually byt also gameplay-wise, there are quite a few issues I'd like to see fixed in Skyrim that Bethesda themselves are unlikely to fix.

I wasnt to sure about pickin up skyrim...but decided to try it out. Yesterday i spent over 12 hours playing it. I dont think Ive ever played a game that long in a day...and the sad part was those 12 hours felt like only a few hours.

Skyrim is my choice for GOTY hands down. (tho im curious to see how the new zelda game is)
