A user can make a comment and not intend for it to be flamebait especially when it was clarified.  Part of my original comment was:

"I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm just saying it's becoming more and more evident the target audience of the console."

It's my opinion backed by fact.  I once saw the original PlayStation as the "rpg box."  Nothing wrong with that.  Flamebait is what you make it to be.  It's not my problem you have issues while letting others get away with flamebaiting the PS3.

I don't have issues, I just see through your silly justification, it's meant as a slanderous term, that's how you mean it, and it's not true regardless, especially when several games this month, fifa, madden, xmen, driver and NHL12 made the top 40 this month on 360.

You know just as well as I that there is nothing wrong with a console having a primary target audience.  if one thinks that the Xbox 360 is targeting shooter fans as a primary userbase, then so be it.  Regardless of what else sells well on the Xbox 360, I'm of the opinion of this (as well as other) backed by facts.  No matter who this is coming from (me or anyone else) I don't see why this should be perceived as negative.  No need to be so billegerant.  I'm cool with Kowen from my last post to him.  I was kind to him.  Too bad you cannot do the same with me.

It's hard to believe that there has been recent pricecuts for both Wii and PS3.
But it'll all change once Wii hits $99 and PS3 hits $199!!!! Or so they say...

PS3 okay I think for time of year and status as second choice in the region. Good opening for ICO/SOTC too. Seeing LBP2 above Deus Ex makes me realize LBP2 needs a Deus Ex level... must explore this.

Wii pretty low and no titles in the top 10 (although a fair number below that).

Everything else as expected. Depending on Japan/EMEAA it could be another close PS3/360 week.


I think FIFA gave XB360 a help bigger than expected to keep Gears 2nd week drop very low. XB360 could become 1st lifetime in America in 2-3 years if Ninty doesn't resurrect Wii, even sooner if Ninty instead kills it young.

X360 HW: awesome, nice hold.
PS3 HW: just bad. Though Japan, EMEAA and FIFA will put it about on par with X360 WW.
Wii: kind of terrible.
3DS: really great numbers, the holidays will put it above DS with the same number of weeks.
DS and PSP: dying, but that's expected.

love seeing ICO/SotC doing so well first wk in Americas.

not sure i can trust those 360/PS3 numbers, but it is Americas right. 360 may get another 200k wk if not 170k.

GEARS continues to perform and the stage is set for its king standing atop the mountain sitting on its thrown, and proves its self as the shooter box king.

R3 is dying, Infamous to doing well for a summer release, Deus Exis still there and all 3 should see a boost during Nov.-Dec.

Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland makes a modest debut, maybe a WW smash.

FIFA beats out Pro evolution soccer, an Mario kart still shines above all who came before it this gen.

I didn't expect the Gears 3 drop to be that big...Resistance 3 numbers are pretty pathetic...other than that nothing stands out for me

Great 360 and 3DS numbers and average otherwise. I'm glad to see the Ico/SotC Collection to do that much in its debut in the Americas.
