Forums - Nintendo Discussion - "Who's to Blame for Nintendo's Missing Wii Games, we are." - I beg to differ. My buttal

Why does Muramasa keep being lumped in with the likes of Madworld and The Conduit? Not only does that game have an entirely different appeal than the rest of the pack, it was received well, and it actually sold well. Very well, in fact. Why are people claiming it bombed?

How technical is your game?

i coudnt keep a straight face when i seen Madworld, The Conduit and Red Steel 2 are the games that should have sold millions on Wii.. Madworld was trying to appeal to some audience, it most definitely wasn't the core gamer, Red Steel 2 was just boring, the original red steel was better then that game.

Because they seem to forget (at least when it comes to the Wii) what "niche" means in terms of games and audience.

this is nintendo we're talking about, not some no-name iphone app developer.  100,000 in sales is absolutely nothing to them.

opportunity cost - look it up.   committing resources to one project means not committing it to something else.  right now NOA has much much MUCH important opportunitys to persue then to deal with the measly 100,000 sales xenoblade would garner.

Then what is NOA doing?

Your problem, OP, is that you take VGC articles seriously.
Grab a pinch of salt and laugh a little.

Where is anything that indicates it's a joke article?

For that matter, where is a link to the article?

The content.

obviously i can't actually answer that specifically.   but right now their focus has to be on kickstarting the 3DS and preparing for the wii U launch.  and don't forget, nintnedo is small. they only have about 5,000 employees total and near as i can tell only about 1,000 of those are in NOA.  that's not a lot of resources to try and  support a wii, wii U, ds, and 3ds.  nintendo much more so then sony has to pick and choose their opportunities.  right now, xeno (even if a profitable venture) means nothing if the 3ds doesn't take off much moreso than it has been.

You clearly never heard of how many blame the audience for real. So your answer is not proof. You have to show something SPECIFIC in the article.

Now, might these have sold better on the HD consoles? Perhaps a little, but that's mainly because Wii gamers are harder to please than the HD console gamers, who tend to fall more easily for hype and marketting glitz. Besides, sales would have fallen like a rock a few weeks after release, like most HD games tend to do.

i suppose wii fit one of the wii's highest selling games is a shining example of how picky and selective the wii owners are

furthermore i guess wii owners didn't fall for hype and marketing glitz in terms of motion controls... wait... how many games besides wii sports use them effectively again?

"i suppose wii fit one of the wii's highest selling games is a shining example of how picky and selective the wii owners are"

Presenting an opinion is not a counterargument, as you are implying people are not entitled to like Wii Fit. That's just as myopic about your opinion as you are claiming the OP is.

never did simply made the point that wii owners aren't hardly as picky as he'd like to think... otherwise a game with a user score of less than 80 wouldn't sell as much as wii fit has... and thats just one example
