“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

It is extremely unlikely that our capabilities would be close enough that a balanced fight could take place.

If their technology was even 100 years more (or less) advanced, that should be more than enough for a very unbalanced fight, either in our favor or in their favor. 100 years is nothing on a cosmic scale, the difference would likely be much bigger...

To be honest, were probably gonna end up destroying ourselves before this question is ever answered.

Plus while im not expert, there really is a very slim chance that we are alone in the universe. plus to those people saying that these races would have evolved along with us under the same timeframe, thats utter crap.

earth is approx 4.7 bil years old. but the universe is 13.7. just because humans only started roaming this planet a few million years ago certainly doesnt mean that this is the same for every planetary body in the universe. some planets could have formed quite quickly after the big band and evolution could have kicked off much earlier. Plus id imagine if there was an extra terrestrial civilization out there, they wouldnt hvae had thousands of years of religious repression against sciences, so their technology even if they did evolve with us would be far superiour than ours, so no, we would be screwed if they were hostile

Compare to the american colonization if it's worth anything. Europeans were two thousand years ahead of most native american people and still had lots of reasons to fear them. If it wasn't for smallpox colonization probably would never have happened.

The native Americans had much more to fear from the invading Europeans than vice-versa. Furthermore, technology has been advancing exponentially. In many areas, much more progress has been done in the last 100 years than in the prior 2000 years.

aliens don't exist and never will

we are the only ones in the universe

even if aliens existed, they would have a different dimension

they should have developed around the same time as earth did from the beginning of the universe and have the same kind of materials as us to even realize that they are there

god created humans and we were perfect (except for the colored ones, and any female, and liberals of course .. but the point is i'm perfect) so god never created again.  ...or at least that's what my daddy told me right before beating me for asking such a flippant question.

who says colorued people, females, liberals aren't perfect.this is just todays world view and our thinking and conciousness take it as reality

if coloured people, females ruled the world then we would be saying thats the better part

read einstein's time theory, there is no way of aliens being formed as they would not int he same time as us in the universe to form life.

races are developed through generations, darwin knwoledge is correct that we all evolved from the same thing and started as one.

we could have humans migrating to different planets and think the people on one planet are differnt from other planets like we do with the races as evolution will take place after some time.we will think them as different people like we do with the races.

but the start will be from time in the universe

aliens just can't exist

I think it is quite obvious that what kitler53 said is sarcasm :|

I thought you were joking, but looks like you are not.    The darwin theories are LIMITED due to the time he stated them, just like the one that implies all living beings are made of Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur.  "Every being, from the smallest amoeba to the largest whale, share the same life stream. Our DNA blocks are all the same".  That theory is NOW invalid.

The NASA have found a bacteria whose DNA is completely alien to what we know today, Instead of using phosphorus, uses the poisonous arsenic for its building blocks.  That bacteria may be original of earth or maybe not, who knows.

What darwin stated so long ago that seemed to be right , now is "not so true", because as time passes new things are discovered.

Aliens obviously do exist, and if you are so closed minded to think otherwise it is a shame.

We'd kick their Alien asses, go to their home planets and enslave them, rape their Alien women (whom we all know have the sweetest poontang in the galaxy), and save their souls by introducing them to the Bible and Jesus Christ! I wish there was an Alien sitting next to me, right now. I'd beat his Alien-Ass with a fucking shoe (I call my shoe the "Alien Beater 5000")!!

*Do not read the following unless you are an Alien*

I was just kidding about that, Aliens. If you were to attack, send me an e-mail (lewisd21@yahoo.com) and I'll tell you all of our weaknesses. I await your glorious arival!

*Pathetic humans may once again resume reading*

Fuck that Alien scum!!

It depends on quite a bit.

For one thing humans have always shown themselves to be adept at picking up technology pretty quickly - take the Maori land wars for example where within ~40 years of western technology arriving the Maori were in some ways more advanced at using it for warfare than the Europeans.

For another we have no guarantees that the aliens will have really developed warfare, in which case our focus on using technology for killing things might give us an advantage.

No if the aliens were advanced enough to make it to earth then we wouldn't stand a chance in hell.

Now, that you bring God to this topic, if you think about it God also created them so I dont think God would take sides.   God created us and other species with the gift of free will so we can do whatever we want, like killing each other (sadly) and invading another species homeworld in order to make some vacational resorts lol.

What the OP states will happen, the only question is when.

I see your point on a general level, but... If they can bring an alien mothership here they have shown they can control vast amounts of energy. Warfare is really all about controlling energy...
