if it would have launched at $399 the gaming world would have been completely different today

Xbox 360 would have never taken off

Fixed it for you.  Wii would have still had its blue ocean market no matter what.  But I think less people would have turned to the Xbox 360 had the launch price been the same as the 360 because more would have gone from the PS2 to PS3, naturally.  In America, I think the 360 and PS3 would have been equal because of the popularity of shooters (or the 360 still slightly ahead).  But in the rest of the world, the 360 would have had even less of a presence.

wii would have had the innovation market but if you think that brand name doesn't matter when PLAYSTATION was the biggest thing in gaming by far back then

Wii would have picked yp by nowhere near the way it did

its like Android,Nokia keep taking out better things but APPLE still beats them

I just wanted to point this out...

Droid is doing very well for itself.  As I am pro-Google/anti-Apple, this is good news to me.  However, that is only US data.  Still, Droid is a worldwide phenomenon, so I hope it will hold true there.

OT, again... NO Sony did not fail the PS3.

android doesn't comprise of one brand but plenty and all of the biggest in phone industry except nokia,it is destined to do more

even then since FEB this year Android's increase in US was halted after Verizon iPhone launch

Nah. Wii still would have raped the competition. It would have sold better WW for sure, but I actually wouldn't be surprised if the 360 still would have beaten it at that price point in the US.

another brand name doesn't matter guy

Never said it doesn't matter, I just think you overestimate the average consumer's loyalty to plastic.

i didn't

thats why i said sony needed to launch it at $399

that was within consumer reach and would have done the deal.

Even at that price, I think the wii would still have won.

if we go by your way

VITA should comfortably outsell 3DS isn't it....lol
