but the vita just shits on it price wise.

Wow really? their the same price how does it shit on it?

Because it's made by Sony. It'll sell 5 millions without games.

The DS was my first ever console, followed by the Wii. Based off of those two (especially the latter) I've come to the conclusion it is best for me to wait until the later part of a gaming console's lifetime before making a purchase.
As far as gaming goes, I need variety, and I need the platform to have good games in as many genres as possible so that I can purchase a game on a whim and not be disappointed.

I also find it easier for me to appreciate the 'good' games after I've already played the 'great' games, and those usually only appear later in the system's life. Otherwise I sometimes get this feeling of dissatisfaction and have to wait two more years for the much improved sequel to fix many of the things that bothered me with the first game.

Then again, all this just may be due to my poor choice of consoles to adopt early up till now

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

I wouldn't get a 3DS if someone payed me. I would wait till the vita comes out and buy that. Im not buying either anytime soon, but the vita just shits on it price wise.

You should add that it is def. getting a price drop soon.

Wow really? their the same price how does it shit on it? and i dont really think  it needs a price drop soon as mario kart and the rest of the holiday games will help it alot.

Thats why, it just has so many more features and a stronger everything. Dual analog, multitouch, more downloadble games, just everything in general is better on the vita and Nintendo is DEF. overpricing it. Now if the 3ds were to lower in price, then that would be a different story.   Plus, i wasnt talking about the games, i was looking at it through a price value point of view.

Exactly, i mean look at the ps3. It sold 50 million without any games and just shits on the wii's price.

You've got to admit in terms of hardware the Vita seems to offer alot more bang for your buck. I know next to nothing about its software, but having never owned a Sony console before, even if the Vita started out with mostly ports of PS2/early PS3 games I'd find it an attractive proposition...

If Sony really intend to invest in this 'Playstation Experience' thing, where a majority of PS1/PS2 games will see release across multiple platforms via emulation, I could see it picking up quite a few followers from the 'new-to-gaming' crowd (I consider myself part of that crowd for the most part).

sony has confirmed more downloadable games? dual analog is an advantage but multitouch isnt to much in my opinion. and the ps3 in no way made it to 50 million without good games wtf lol.

The psvita is just the better value is my point.

I got a 3DS at launch and I'm loving it. I think a lot of people just had unrealistic expectations of the launch line up and the price (which I don't see a problem with now, on Amazon U.Kit is the same price as the PSP was following launch).
