Iwata has been involved in awesome games, and I love HAL, but...

ICO and SotC blew me away, and very few games do that, so:

My vote goes to Ueda.

And I won't be remotely surprised if he wins.

This isn't a fair fight. A game designer vs the CEO of Nintendo? A better fight would be Ueda vs Hideo Kojima. Since Iwata is losing, I will vote for Iwata.

If it's allowed, then yes.

And, for the record, I do not appreciate this match up at all.  Either of these people would win handily against the folks they would generally come up against at this point in a tournament.  This is like putting the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament up against the #2 seed in the first game of the first round.
