Compared to the Xbox 360 I feel the PS3 is really lacking in the avatar department.  I just saw some Japanese avatars for Final Fantasy and I was like o my I totally want one of thoose. Here is a couple links to people that have them.

Not only PSN needs more avatars... I think it's shameful that they charge for them. You buy a fricking game, it should come with a cool avatar for you to promote it among your friends.

I think your right. Though the only time I think they should charge for a avatar is if it's not connected to a game that you can currently buy or anything not related to a game. Royaltes can be a pain in the butt.

I'm happy with the Drake Deception avatar I have and I don't see it changing anytime soon. But psn plus gives you quite a lot.

PSN released some Dissidia avatars recently so im pretty happy with those and hope they'll release the rest of them.

I would love to have that zidane avatar, damn it Sony.
