Goldeneye on the Wii is awesome!  The multiplayer and single player are really good.

When I say shooters don't work on the Wii, it's not because of the controls, oh no, the controls are great. It's because Nintendo doesn't publish any FPS's other then Metroid Prime, which is technically a First Person Adventure game. Third Party software hasn't seen very many polished FPS's on the Wii.

It's the developers fault, not the console. Yes Red Steel 2 is pretty good, but what else is there? Conduit 1 and 2 generally got 7.5-8/10 scores. How many PS3/360 shooters come out every year that get that rating? Already this year there is Dead Space 2, Homefront, Crysis 2, Killzone 3, and BulletStorm, and I've very excited about Uncharted 3, Gears 3, Mass Effect 3, L.A. Noire, Duke Nukem, and Resistance 3.

Argueable. One of my more casual gamers, who is a big Goldeneye fan, really hates the Wii version because to him it looks like the exact same game, with no visual upgrade. To be honest I largely agree with him, graphics in that game are not that much above Red Steel 1, which means they suck.

Either way, good or bad, this is a ported N64 game with added Wii-Mote controls. It is not a new experience, and I honestly prefer the N64 version, so why even bother getting this?

Also, Quantum of Solice, a 2008 360/PS3/PC game, is a better game, and from what I've heard about Blood Stone (a new James Bond game, not based on any film), thats better then Goldeneye as well.

Shooters don't work on the Wii, I'm sorry, other then Metroid Prime and Red Steel 2, there aren't really any unique shooters on the Wii that I can't live without. I own a Wii, and I don't mind anybody who tries to change my opinion. Wii is better for Pikmin 3, WHERE IS PIKMIN 3!? lol

I acknowedge that Metroid Prime is a First Person Adventure game, I often classify it as a shooter because I still see MP as a shooter. Just like Uncharted is a shooter, this is too, but FPA is the primary genre.

Also I'm not debating the Wii-mote controls, they are great for shooters, MP3 was awesome, but no developer puts the time and effort to make a good Wii shooter. The best Wii shooters get 8/10 scores, and are honestly bland when compared to something as polished as Killzone, Vanquish, Halo, or Dead Space.

8/10 is passable for me, unless it's a franchise I personally favor (like Front Mission, or Fire Emblem). I have literally about 70 360 games, almost all of them are above 8/10, but I think I should have turned down a few 8/10's. I mean I bought DMC4 for $20 and only played it for an hour, I should have turned that game down and picked it up more recently when I have the time to play it.

So if 7.9-8.4/10 is the best Wii has for shooters, that to me is pretty bland. I just wish Nintendo got one shooter title, as unique and interesting as Vanquish was. That to me felt like a Nintendo-esk shooter, due to all the corny lines, and sterotypical characters.

I have to agree here.  While I'm enjoying Conduit 2, really the only Wii FPS (aside from Metroid) that's worth getting over HD comparibles would be Goldeneye.  It's top notch single and multi-player and the split-screen is a ton of fun.

Conduit 2 is fun, worth renting just to see what is possible on Wii graphically/online mulitplayer wise.  But I couldn't advise to buy it over Portal 2 or Gears 3 or ME3 or such.    

If you only own a Wii (like myself now) and are sick of Goldeneye/CoD then for sure - pick it up!

I find it funny how someone can preach about FPS controls, and then go ahead and talk about the laughably terrible control scheme that are the dual analogs.

I fail to see how that relates to your earlier comments.  You said MP3 was difficult to play.  Then you said shooters don't work on Wii.  Both of these statements allude to the controls being the issue, not the quality or quantity of the genre on Wii.

If that is indeed what you meant, better phrasing would likely have helped.

Why do things like this happen? Isn't there anything the publisher could have done about this? Can someone please send me a personal message with his own review of the game, comparing it to popular shooters on other platforms? Don't post it here though, it could start a war.

i dont know where u guys r going but i saw conduit 2 boxes at the gamestop i went too. n it was i Wii's new release section, but no one cared because ther were 3 bigger games coming out that day

@tolu  those other games are bigger, thats a fact, so they will get bigger shelf space. Conduit series is b rated at best and IMHO i dont think even Sega had faith in this game, might be why there are not that much copies either

@micheal-5  im sorry but i dont think u even played GE, u or your friend, using Daniel Craig's persona alone makes it a different experience. you say most people say blood stone is better? your either really high or just lying, last i checked. GE has a hight metascore than Blood stone
