Almost all these reviews said GT5 is a best simulator racing than FM3... it scored lower because it not a best racing game.

Seriously. A game which came out a year later has slightly better sim driving?

Come on. It took 6 years and 9 months to make GT5.

I'm not saying GT5 is a bad game it just didn't seem to live up to the hype nor was it the quality I had expected for being in production and development for so long. Along with only 200/800 cars being premium was a let down. Granted I don't care as long as they handle properly but you couldn't even change the wheels on a standard car. I also  found with GT the specific racing series puts a big hindrance on the game. Being forced to buy a new car for every face isn't all that fun to be honest. Sooner or later you need a new car but the Amateur stage of GT requires around 4 different cars.  The car customization and the fact that all Forza cars are premium is also a huge bonus for Forza. In the looks department GT is just the victor but it is also newer. As for sound you can't beat Forza.

To be honest, GT5 was not at all what I expected. Is it good, yes. Does Turn 10 have to work hard to beat it? Not at all.

FM3 is ahead in many many ways. All the cars get the same attention and not just a select few. Working again on furthering the physics will only improve on what makes FM the best of the best. And it takes Turn 10 only 2 - 3 years to do their updates. And they are always huge leaps. Not just Fifa type updates. Heres just how close the racing simulators of FM3 and GT5 are right now. Man FM3 sounds amazing.

Best car Sim are on PC not console unless OP was referring to console only?

Too bad we can't have our cake and eat it too.  If only Gt5 and Fm4 were on the PC yet they would never sell anywhere close to the console . I'm seeing a lot of the recent racing games being limited by console specs. Some ask why NTG 2011 doesn't have a rearview mirror in most views and the dev reponses was they are already pushing the HD console specs to the limit with 43 cars (with damage) on the track running at  30fps. CM also referred to the console hardware limits especially when it comes to ram.

3rd installment of the series this gen is what he meant by that. Forza 2 & Forza 3 and later this year Forza 4 as well will have all been this gen.

And you are also comparing it to GT5... which it wasnt compared to in the OP... why compare it, this thread is about Forza 4
