Seriously. A game which came out a year later has slightly better sim driving?
Come on. It took 6 years and 9 months to make GT5.
I'm not saying GT5 is a bad game it just didn't seem to live up to the hype nor was it the quality I had expected for being in production and development for so long. Along with only 200/800 cars being premium was a let down. Granted I don't care as long as they handle properly but you couldn't even change the wheels on a standard car. I also found with GT the specific racing series puts a big hindrance on the game. Being forced to buy a new car for every face isn't all that fun to be honest. Sooner or later you need a new car but the Amateur stage of GT requires around 4 different cars. The car customization and the fact that all Forza cars are premium is also a huge bonus for Forza. In the looks department GT is just the victor but it is also newer. As for sound you can't beat Forza.
To be honest, GT5 was not at all what I expected. Is it good, yes. Does Turn 10 have to work hard to beat it? Not at all.
FM3 is ahead in many many ways. All the cars get the same attention and not just a select few. Working again on furthering the physics will only improve on what makes FM the best of the best. And it takes Turn 10 only 2 - 3 years to do their updates. And they are always huge leaps. Not just Fifa type updates. Heres just how close the racing simulators of FM3 and GT5 are right now. Man FM3 sounds amazing.
