So they attack Sony, destory the whole network, as a result Sony has to let people go from their jobs. People that have familys and are paying off homes.

Anonymous to me sound like terrorist, trying to put fear into ordinary people. Do you support terrorist?

Yeah, it would mean something if Anonymous actually meant something anymore.

I'm almost certain nothing is going to happen with this.

I don't agree with Sony's actions but Anonymous are nothing more than children .  Sure, they can screw stuff up but they aren't any better than the people they attack.  It's like they try to come off as Batman but they really come off as an eight year old with a cheap cape yelling as loud as he can.

They gotta have some righteous image to them considering what they do...

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

I think Anon would be making a mistake to take to Sony in a way that really hurts the gamers. After all they are wanting to hurt Sony not consumers (they claim to be working for the good of the consumer). So as said before I think they'll be looking to cause Sony some significant PR/financial grief without hurting the PS3 consumer.

I think Sony are being dicks over this. They are just so desperately invested in PS3 being unbreakable that they are going to ridiculous lengths to punish people who are not doing anything overtly illegal. They are doing this because they can't actually go after the pirates, because they live beyond Sony's reach. Classic displacement behaviour, which should be stopped.

I just want Anon to let me know when the shit is gonna hit the fan so that I can avoid it.

Well. Consider how Sony's stance on trampling consumers' rights and they have the money to sway the court.

I'd say, time to play dirty.

My rights are also a closed and fair network as well as funding the game industry by buying its games...

No, that is your option to do that. You definitely should have the right to do whatever you want with your hardware. Whether it be play by someone's rules, or play by your own, its your choice.

You misunderstood.

It's my right not have other people meddle in my gaming experiences.

oh, and by other people your meaning companies. ok than, so your agreeing with me. Cool   b ^.^ d

He obviously means that it's not geohots or anyone elses right to mess with his online experience by unfair means such as hacking the game to be invincible.

If he messes around with his own machine that's fine, but as soon as something like "Psn" is involved, it becomes public domain and it's no longer his property which is in question.

If they were all simply tinkering with their own machines it wouldn't be that much of a problem. Atleast that's how I see it.

The thing is. Their moto is that they do everything for the lulz. Hence, no such thing as a mistake.

no, seriously you have no idea what a threat Anonymous really is. They gave the church of scientology a massive black eye, has basically destroyed the lives of the people holding Sgt. Manning captive over the whole wikileaks leaks, and has destroyed a security company. As well as shut down several government websites, among other things. You do not take a threat from them lightly or else they will destroy you.

If good sized portion of Anon is seriously going to target Sony, be very prepared for the PSN to be annihilated (or at least be taken offline for at least a week or two if its not hacked and crippled) as well as probably most of the executives within Sony to have all their personal information Doxed. It wouldn't destroy Sony, but Anon will severely damage them if this is true.

wesbsite = multi billion corporation ?

As for Church of Scientology, they were already hated around the world, and Project Channology was 10 times bigger than what Anonymus is planning to do with Sony. And PSN is not like a porn web site wth little to no protection at all that Anonymus are hacking every day.

Seriously, Anonymus is not even big enough to suck Sony's dick. The last hacker that was fucking with Sony got his ass raided by police. But that doesnt stop them from thinking they are the tough guy and that Sony should be affraid of thier ''horible vengance for justice''... they are only going further down the shithole if they keep provoking Sony
