UC3 will look better than UC2 but its not going to be by a huge amount. UC2 came out in late 2009. Not tons of time for a huge improvement visually.

Drake's Fortune-to-Among Thieves disproves this theory. Same amount of time, same devs, same engine (but with massive upgrades).

The situations are basically identical.

That's why IMO ND stands out with along with a few other devlopers.

They are always pushing the boat out in terms of visuals and gameplay, and by some margin.

Certain franchises rather they be exclusive (or multiplat like COD) sequels are almost exactly the same with different scenery.

I know gaming is not all about graphics but it is a great way to show off your skills.

I'm interested to know where people think this franchise is going?

UC4?  or more?

Or UC3 is the end?

They seem to have a history of 4 games per series If I am recalling them correctly.

I'm not really here!

Yep.  And the fourth is always a racing game!

Indeed, their contributions have always been that way too. Jak & Daxter & Crash (of the PS1 days) were some of the most technically sound titles of their time(s).

I have zero doubt in what's in store for PlayStation fans come Nov 1.

NAUGHTY GODS WITH THEIR NATHAN "MTHA FKING" DRAKE AND THE GRAPHICS KING ENGINE!
Jizz.

Similar was said of Drake's Fortune - UC2. Just listening to the engine upgrades, it's already a good few steps above Among Thieves. Maybe from a visual standpoint there won't be a massive upgrade, but with physics, animations, particle effects and engine procedures, the upgrades will probably be substantial.

And yes, it is a matter of how they work, because they're known to do fairly significant upgrades to their engine(s).

Won't argue with you on other aspects of the game; I was merely talking about visual upgrades. Physics and engine procedures for sure, not so sure about animations and particle effects. There's only so much improvement in visuals before any 'major' upgrade is not so noticeable.

The BuShA owns all!

So far no one has fully been able to take advantage and exploit the ps3 architecture. Maybe naughty dog can with this.

Gonna post a question. Who has two thumps and has preordered Uncharted 3? This guy : )

OT: Definitely, a big improvement in terms of lightning and scale. I'm so excited to see how they are going to beat the train and collapsing building levels :D
