Forums - Gaming Discussion - Call of Duty engine developers are a bunch of cheap fucks.

I was doing some research on Doom and the id Tech engine in general and came across something interesting:

- Infinity Ward engine was based off of id Tech 3.

- id Tech 3 engine was made open source in 2005.

I've always thought the CoD games looked like absolute shite. And now we know why.

EDIT 1: Doom 3 ran off of id Tech 4.

CoD2 didn't look much better than RE4 did...But maybe that's because I couldn't stand to look at the gorram screen because the sand was reflecting the desert sun in my face.

Funny. I was going to say 'what engine developers' because they're still using the same engine they used in the first game of the series but that was actually our point. They've done wonders with it but you can't stretch such an old engine forever. I think it's already time to let go, it's definitely showing its age.

Treyarch/Infinity Ward/Pi Studios/who ever the fuck is developing the Call of Duty franchise these days.

ORLY?

We don't restrict language usage in posts (up to a point), but thread titles are a different matter. Whatever luridly foul things you wish to say about Luigi, you can find a work safe euphemism for the title.
