Actually it's not.
what the players do in the commercial has no relation to what you see in the game or what you have to do ( take the spanking, all the games want you to do is hit the wiimote to move your character, I'm pretty sure it will work as well if you just hold it instead of putting it in someone's pants...)

Don't you know how this works already? You get the experiments, and sometimes they work out! Then they take the money and make "real" games on the HD twins. I want to put "lol", but I don't think this is completely untrue...
