Why not? The first thing he would have to do to start the argument is to prove that Cole could defeat Kratos.


lol is that a reference to that crazy 'kratos vs link' discussion? although.. i dont remember the concensus being that kratos would defeat link, so i think youre mistaken there. i know a big argument for kratos was that he like kills gods or whatever, but im pretty sure everybody agreed to the fact that its not always about brute strength, but about determination and courage.

I see, you've found an old post of mine. Yes, Link defeated Kratos, that's why I said what I did. Because if Cole can't even beat Kratos, then we don't need to discuss if he could beat Link.

the thread got revived today. yes, i remember the concensus being link defeated kratos, but it seems that what you said would imply a kratos win. if cole can defeat kratos, we dont need to discuss link because kratos defeated link. i wouldnt think it was an implication of a link win because you initially said that he would have to prove that cole would defeat kratos. and if he did this succesfully (this is why you could not have been implying a link win), then he would have to talk about how cole could defeat link.. which makes comparing link to kratos useless.

If you had read just a few posts further instead of quoting me immediately, then you would have seen that I already explained some months ago why I said what I did. The reigning champion can't be challenged immediately, because the challenger first has to work his way up the ladder. That was my basic thought process.

ok, that may have been your basic thought process.. although i dont see how it makes much sense in the context of what we are talking about. you telling me that cole has to 'work his way up the ladder' would then imply that there is some sort of overall ranking that has taken place. now i only remember seeing a huge kratos vs link discussion, and this was years back so its quite possible i have missed something..

if no such ladder exists, and the only ladder youre referring to is the link>kratos ladder, then i can only conclude that your basic thought process is completely unnecessary.. which goes back to the point that comparing cole to kratos would be useless because he has to compare him to link anyway if he wins.
