If you had read just a few posts further instead of quoting me immediately, then you would have seen that I already explained some months ago why I said what I did. The reigning champion can't be challenged immediately, because the challenger first has to work his way up the ladder. That was my basic thought process.

ok, that may have been your basic thought process.. although i dont see how it makes much sense in the context of what we are talking about. you telling me that cole has to 'work his way up the ladder' would then imply that there is some sort of overall ranking that has taken place. now i only remember seeing a huge kratos vs link discussion, and this was years back so its quite possible i have missed something..

if no such ladder exists, and the only ladder youre referring to is the link>kratos ladder, then i can only conclude that your basic thought process is completely unnecessary.. which goes back to the point that comparing cole to kratos would be useless because he has to compare him to link anyway if he wins.
