Well Ubisoft was able to adapt where others weren't. Music genre was on the downturn until Just Dance and its eventual follow-ups. Now it's as strong ever. All for the simple idea of making it less complex, less bulky, and of course cheaper. It's not that people still didn't want these music based games, but they wanted something different, something easier, and something that wouldn't hurt the wallet. Kudos to Ubisoft for realizing it. Now they have a huge hit on their hands and the ability to continue to take it to the next level. Hopefully they won't fall victim to staleness like Activision and EA. But those two definitely need to take a note from Ubisoft.
Funny, that we never thought that the simple idea of Wii Music would eventually become big in the music genre, but well Nintendo proved us wrong again. Well, in a weird sort of way haha. Nintendo is probably kicking themselves that they didn't follow fully with it. Although, Ubisoft also had their own inspiration from the Rabbids games were this obviously started off for them.
