Good news for those who have been finding the expense of Q4 a bit much – GAME and GameStation are offering a special deal on Wii title Donkey Kong Country Returns that shouldn’t be missed.

The first 20 people in line to buy Nintendo’s new game at either GAME’s Oxford Street store, GAME’s Merry Hill store in Dudley or Gamestation at Hull’s Prospect Centre will be able to buy the game with a bunch of bananas.

That’s a pretty good deal for a game that would otherwise cost between £40-£45.

The GAME stores will both open at 9am this Friday (December 3rd) while Gamestation Hull opens at 8am.

I wonder how people will react when they discover that the front-liners have gained Bananas? Will many consider this as irrelevant or very relevant? 

LOL, epic. What a hilarious way to promote the game. To bad it's not in the US. I actually have a bunch of bananas in my pantry right now.

This brings up another question, what if you are allergic to them (I know a few people that are)? Do they hand you them straight away or ask you if you wish to receive them? 

Bananas are healthy and tasty, so this deal is unpassable.

Lol no. It's actually the other way around. YOU give THEM the bananas and they give you the game. It's like replacing the money with a bunch of bananas :D

Oh I see, hmm... would some consider people as strange if they have a wide range of Bananas with them, unless it is for between 5-10 Bananas.

This is genius, really. If they did this worldwide for every single copy... How much did Wii Sports sell again?
