Microsoft reported that 1m units of Kinect have been shipped during its 10 days on the market. VGC claimed the device had a 1.3m sell through to existing customers. So right off the bat the numbers are atleast 300k off.
The PS Move shipped 2.5m units which were VGC-estimated to be 1.25m sets of Moves, and a sell through of 50%'ish.
So if Kinect has 1m shipped, and a even a higher sell through percentile of lets say 80%, that would indicate 800k units sold. Which would make VGC off by 500k. Half a million units. This translates into the weekly HW numbers aswell, as the PS3 is only 30k behind the 360, which had a week over week increase of roughly 100% in the US as Kinect launched.
So the PS3 might've even been ahead of the 360 last week!?
