Its at 43m in the USA - not North America. We have 49m in the Americas. DS is around 4m in Canada, and over 1m in Mexico among others.

Thanks for clarifying. NPD only tracks the states then?

Such a vast difference, NA = north america,  America's = NA. USA = America and not NA, bound to be confusing to some people.

DS is getting pretty damn close to 45m in the USA lifetime. Looks like it will happen in the first or second week of December.

That's America alone right? I think it's close to 50M in NA alltogether.

?? How can be it be close to 45 mill in Americas and 50M in NA .....

It's 43 million in NA currently.

It says 49.2M on the site.

Americas - 49.2
NA - 43.0

Are you sure you mean North America and not USA? I find it hard to believe DS has sold 6 million in South America.

What does NPD track? Not Canada does it?

I think NPD only tracks America and not Canada and Mexico.

I'm pretty sure Americas is North America & South America.

and wtf @ Seece
of all people I expected you to know what country NPD covers

NPD tracks Canada but that isn't what you are getting in these monthly figures they are USA only. We've been over this 100s of times, the USA is roughly 87% of the Americas, Canada is 6-11% usually, and rest is Mexico (a billion dollar market in its own right for video games) and Latin America. Just look at Nintendo's shipments through September. There were 49.28m DS sysyems shipped through September 2010 to the Americas.

Wow...

Those are huge differences on Wii. Could have been selling almost 20k less per week than we have it at?

While we wait, listen to that. Quite catchy, and the real reason for the success of Just Dance 2.
