Usually, IGN fails.  Their jRPG reviews are laughable at best and are just full of "b0yz l00k leik teh girlz" or "jApaN3s3 cl1ch3z."  If I do get an Xbox again (mine RRODed recently), then I may get this game if it's better than the 2nd one.

I'm having a lot of fun with it currently. Unfortunately, I could only get the Japanese version and its dubbed. Oh the disappointment. Not that I cant understand Japanese. I just really enjoyed the wry British humor from the previous games. It doesnt quite translate.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was hoping they would have the English language pack available for download like they did with Fable 2. I don't mind the Japanese, but I'd prefer to have the English voices. I played 2 with them on all the time.

I'm not even going to read that article.  IGN is the king of getting site hits.  Why do you think they always make those "Top 100" articles that have 1 item per page and last for several days?  I'm having the time of my life with F3.  That's all that matters.  And yes, it is similar to Fable 2.  Just like Mario World is similar to Mario 3 and Street Fighter 4 is similar to Street Fighter 3.  That's probably because they are games in the same series.

I did read the article and it does mostly seem reasonable, though I would really have to play the game to truly understand if he is right... His argument is based on the fact that same of the decisions are economic based, rather than good vs evil, and there is no difficulty in acquiring great wealth quite early on

I just finished it and found it to be generally stunning. 

There were a couple of minor drawbacks, but I really view them more as bitterness on my part that they didn't go with every creative direction I would have liked.  Fable is a series that constantly innovates.  The media criticises Lionhead/Molyneux everytime they promise something, but hates on them even more when they change things up and give you a different kind of game.

Maybe it's the fact that Sony was once on top of the mountain in this industry, and the fall from grace has been swift and brutal. The worst thing about being on top is the fall to the bottom, and maybe the transition from PS2 dominance to PS3 heel-dragging has had a damaging effect on the fanboy psyche, leaving them vulnerable and insecure. Maybe fanboys are suffering from a severe case of paranoid delusion, brought about by denial that the PS3 is in third place when once Sony was leading the charge.

The voice acting (english) is second to no other game. With big hitters like John Cleese, Stephen Fry, Pegg doing an amazing job.  The style is incredible and the game just makes you smile time and again.

The most fun in an rpg ever for me.
