I'm assuming Valve have a number of different teams working on various projects, so getting this out shouldn't make any difference as to when HL3 gets released. In addition, the player base for these games is huge (I've heard 8 million quoted by the NeoGAF owner) so if they nail it and bring over a substantial portion of the existing base, they'll be quids-in.

I personally love those type of blogs, it's almost in the same level of "A friend of mine was told by his friend that someone he knows told him that..."
