I guess we will all have to wait and see. In my opinion, the closest song in recent memory to have come to replacing it was Beyonce's "Single Ladies" so let's see how well GaGa's song will fare in comparison.

I read the lyrics to the song, it's for everyone FOR EVERYONE. The words lesbian, gay or homosexual were never mentioned in the song, anyone artist can release a similar song and say "hey, I dedicate this song for homosexuals".
If gaga really cared , she could've put it in the lyrics "I am gay and I was born this way" or something similar.
I guess this is becoming the new "christian bands" who never mention the word jesus and their songs are FOR EVERYONE.

obviously here and now, she hasn't sold the 200 million albums madonna has, she is officially the all time queen of pop, but as of today's generation lady gaga is the queen of pop.

her music is the same as every other artist until you realize shes a silent hill monster.
seriously the only thing i've heard from her that is "Different" is the part where she says "oohhhhh ooooooooooooohhh , caught in a bad romance" , it sounded pretty oldish style, then goes back to the generic "strut dat ass" music.

Well Elton John is his stage persona, not his real name. It's almost like referring to his character rather than himself, you know? It's not like when Kanye talks about how hard it is being Kanye.
