I like both. I prefer Malstrom over Hearthstone because without Malstrom writing what he writes, there would be no counter blogs just for him.

As for intuitive, it depends on whether you are a Japanese gamer or Western gamer. Japanese gamers need their hand held throughout their games, you can see this in Other M where it is basically a rail shooter ala House of the Dead without the moving screen, but with arrows always telling you where to go. This hand holding comes off as counterintuitive to Western gamers who prefer sandbox play with hours upon hours of exploration where you can decide when to pick up the main quest over Japanese rail play which tends to, not always, put a heavy emphasis on cinematics and story to obfuscate the strict linerarity.

Japanese and Western does not pertain to geographic location. They are real distinctions based on the differences between Japanese games and Western games. Players no matter their geographic location prefer one gaming style over another.

As for Malstrom failing a prediction, it is a wait and see game. I wonder if Malstrom will be saying the same things about Sony or Microsoft if one of them is on top during the next generation.

I think he will because Malstrom is a front-runner in my opinion. He has shown no evidence to the contrary to not make me think he is a not a front-runner. Yes he has criticized specific Nintendo titles for their lack of consistency to the original, but I have not read any criticism of Nintendo's core values and business strategies.

I have to disagree, Zelda and Metroid on the NES didnt hold your hand all the game, and those games did great on Japan. On the other hand Metroid Other M is failing pretty hard

Malstrom has critiziced Nintendo´s strategy when the go away from the disruption values, right now he is against the 3DS for example, of course he isnt supporting PSP2 but clearly isnt on Nintendo´s side on that one, with all that said i do think Malstrom got annoying with the whole Metroid M issue lol, he was getting trolled and he took the bait even when sales where already on his side
