@ Mr. Khan  I wouldnt say their dooming the WII version, screwing them a bit???? Yeah, but 1st there are still peope who have no HD console (why??) so they would like to still play this game 2nd as of now the Wii version still has that mode that the HD version doesnt have, so they are both equally flawed in that regard.

Where are you getting the Dead Space was only worth $10??? are you reffering to the Move version? cause that was just annouced and Extraction was released a while ago.

ANd in EA's defense a lot of companies, especially on Wii charge IMO what is 5x worth it for games. Carnival games to me is nowhere worth the asking price. or half of the shovelware on that system. I daresay that Ninty charged 50 dollars for NSMBWii because they KNEW they could get away with it. There is no way that game cost that much to make and it didnt even have an online. Hell thats why there games dont drop in price becase they CAN get away with it. EAs problem is is there NOT Ninty and they can never get away with that. THere not that loved.

Obviously done on purpose because they know the game will sell regardless, not as much as if it were exclusive, but will sell. They are insulting the Wii base undoubtedly, by treating them like stupid because they aren't as informed as the rest of the userbases. Nintendo should be banning this type of behaviour on their next console.

And then the next console would probably get even worse support than the Wii...

Do you really want that?

I wouldn't mind, considering the garbage companies are putting out.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Can I just ask something, as I'm not too sure on the modes...

Does the game have local multiplayer on Wii?

That "garbage" sells to the userbase that Nintendo built up on Wii though. So while it's garbage to you and I, to a huge portion of the Wii userbase... It's awesome. Example - Carnival Games.

Then considering everyone on these forums with half a brain knows that local multiplayer on Wii is a big thing... Bigger than Online Multiplayer...

It's another advantage you can put forward for the game.

Well...local  multiplayer is a must have. It shouldnt be a plus, or an extra. Especially on the wii. And yeah, Local > Multiplayer in my eyes. IS not an advantage, is just something natural.

But for other people, Online>Local. Eventhough Online is an extra (imo) the game should have it, because they are releasing the game in the HD's will have it. I dont see why wii cant have it, to be honest.

The Wii would have had it if the Wii's online system wasn't garbage.

The developer wanted it to run at 60fps, they couldn't achieve that online on Wii.

Instead of putting a shoddy laggy online mode into the game... They removed it, and let the Wii have Remix Tour.

I see the excuses are already coming out for this game...

Geez.

At least give it a chance on the market before you start coming up with stupid excuses for it not selling well.

I better leave this JAM thread anyway before I get happy that it's cheaper and get banned for "dumping on the Wii".

When you deliberately disadvantage your products, that's no excuse. It's just as insulting as when EA decided, later on, that Dead Space Extraction was only worth $10, after pushing the $50 version on Wii owners *and* blaming them for the title's failure (by canceling Doom Resurrection for Wii and moving it to iPhone), when clearly by their own estimation it was worth only a fifth of that.

In this case you're seeing the same thing. It's straight-up insulting

Its not insulting, its a sound business investment by EA.  Its not EA's fault that Wii owners continue to shun 3rd party titles by calling them inadequate then turn around and cry when they lose exclusivity.

When you're charging 5x more than what the product is worth because you think you can get away with it, how is that not insulting?

Lost exclusivity is not at issue here. This is far more vicious.

liscensing fees man, its not like they are non existant.

I dont know what is charged from nintendo but it sounds like its a lot cheaper to throw your stuff up on the psn/xbla. I bet even apple charges less to put it on the app store. Its just good business
