Islam is an evil bloodthirsty cult (created by a psychotic murderous paedophile) along with marxism and the marxist NWO. Destroy the NWO and regain your your freedom! I declare my human rights of freedom of thought, speech and expression and will not be forced to respect or "tolerate" anything, especially not Islam and communazis!!! All you followers of political correctness (and therefore willing slaves of the NWO) answer me this, why don't you tolerate and respect MY views and beliefs and others who share them? Why do you only have "special interests" in certain "minorities" and not only don't defend but ignore the rights of majorities? Did you speak out when the American military burned bibles in Afghanistan? How angry were you when Theo Van Gogh was brutally murdered for making a 10 minute film criticizing Islam? I wouldn't be surprised if you were angry at Theo Van Gogh for offending your precious muslims rather than at the muslims who brutally murdered that innocent film maker. (I suppose you don't regard him as innocent as he's too politically incorrect and deserved to die, right?) Hypocritical scum! As to the original poster's question about why most of the public are cowards, these links should give you some answers:

No doubt my right to free speech will be abused again by a cowardly PC moderator giving me a warning for expressing my opinions.

i agree with your post except for the bolded parts

That's fine, it's your total right, I would be interested why you disagree with those parts though? I mean it's a fact that Mohammed killed innocent people (and instructed his followers to do the same) and married a 6 year old girl and had sex with her when she was 9 so that covers the murderous and paedophile parts. And since this murderous paedophile would be seen as evil in many people's eyes and he created a religion that although was partly based on the Bible was also based on his own evil beliefs (and if it's true that he was visited by a supernatural entity then it was probably a demon or Satan himself) then that religion, Islam, can be described as evil and bloodthirsty in the sense that "kuffar" can and should be killed. Marxism and the NWO are also evil cults, their aim is to enslave humanity for a small "elite" community of psychopaths. Marxism created political correctness which is a major weapon of the NWO so those who support it and use it are willing slaves of the NWO. And hypocritical scum should be obvious, for example defending offending loads of people by building a mosque close to Ground Zero in (or at the site of, did they pull it down? I forgot) a building that was hit by part of one of the planes and saying it's their constitutional right to whether it offends anyone or not then crying about some guy saying he'll burn a load of korans (that he bought, it's not like they're stolen) and trying to find anyway to stop him despite it being his constitutional right to say that and even do it if he wants as they're his property. Now you'll probably say I'm a hypocrite for being against the Ground Zero mosque but I'm not because I don't regard Islam as a valid religion, more like a terrorist cult, so therefore shouldn't be protected by the American constitution. Before anyone tells me about all the wonderful muslims they know or if they're muslims themselves, I'm sure there were plenty of nice people in the Peoples Temple (Jim Jones' cult) and the Manson Family but that doesn't mean those cults weren't evil or that I should respect them.

Wow, just shut the fuck up, I'm really getting tired of the bullshit you keep spreading in every thread that involves Islam. If anyone does agree with you, then I pity them, it must be so horrible to live an ignorant and hateful life.

First of all not all muslims are terrorists, nor do most muslims support terrorists. So the majority of muslims would simply be insulted, and those who are terrorists will recieve further justification of their hatred for the US and Christians and will probably be able to recruit more people 'cause of it.

Also, about the "cowardly" thing, since when is it "cowardly" to take the high road and be civilised? The only instances I'd call Wsterners cowardly is when they don't speak up about things like muslim men beating their wives, or muslim women refusing to not wear their burkhas in inappropriate situations. I certainly see nothing brave about some nut jobs who want to burn the Qu'ran (at least the cartoons were for comedy).

The small problem is that last time when west was proud and mighty and happy from the cultural superiority it ended like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decline_of_the_Roman_Empire

and costed our civilization 1000 years of development.

You should read more about the decline of the Roman Empire. It didn;t fall because it was proud and happy due to it's cultural superiority.

The Crusades were a reaction to the expansion of Islam to places where Christians had been before.

On ideological level yes, but it's quite complex phenomenon to describe in one sentence given demography of those who participated in the Crusades. Often certain events of the Crusades have nothing to do with being anti-Islamic, hence the Christian Orthodox people who suffered from, simply put, brigandish raids of the crusaders.

All in all, attempts to present Christianity as 'tolerant' religion that laid down the foundations of modern morale of western world are a bit off. If the Crusades towards Islamic world could be explained as reactionary move, how'd you explain Northern Crusades against the Orthodox then, or internal oppression of heretics through the Inquisition etc.? Christianity as religious organization, i.e. Christian Church in it's original form (Roman Catholic Church), is hardly tolerant and used to be very expansionist (the same applies to the Orthodox Church). If anything laid such foundations, this's probably Protestant morale. Bottomline is... 'tolerance' is to a great extent is a phenomenon of modern western world morale, hardly Christinaity has anything to do with it.

I always thought that it was more like North Americans act somewhat maturely, whereas Muslims abroad are a bunch of whiney brats.

Love and tolerate.

The paradox is that Christianity made the West humane, soft and tolerant but the people who are pushing the turn-the-other-cheek mentality into the self hate and suicide of our culture we are witnessing today are non-religious liberals and socialists.

You make a fair point. Fact is, most muslims are a lot more sensitive to religious defamation. Christians used to be aswell, but the Churches have lost their stranglehold over the political systems as most Christian countries less conservative. A lot Muslims do this sort of thing as their countries still set their laws by the laws of their religion.

If you look at muslims in countries in the west you can see that most are a lot more tolerant and dont participate in things such as Bible burnings. My guess is these sort of things will continue until all countries separate their religion and their political system.

i think we can drop the middle east being poor,

i still can't believe we hear that excuse

Muslims aren't brave for burning bibles. They're just crazy.

Ask me about being an elitist jerk

Time for hype

I look at it this way. Overseas they are people who live in 3rd world countries which are still ruled by faith rather then choice. Since those nations haven't matured yet it is expected they burn books and kill people of faiths they refuse to believe in (even though Christianity was born from Hebrew and Islamic faith mostly...). Once these countries get a grip on reality and move their economies into at least being a classified as a 2nd world nation things like book burning and anti-other faiths will stop or be dramatically cut down. Of course it will never ever end, as there are extremists in the US today in the form of say the Westboro Church, Scientology, and others.

Still, in those nations there are people who will not burn other faiths books and murder people. It is mostly the fanatics that do all the extreme things.

You do understand that in many cultures and 3rd world nations that marrying women that young is 100% legal. What is socially right in the US/UK/etc isn't what is socially right in other nations and cultures. And social view points can and will constantly evolve and change even in estabilished 1st world nations. For example, here in the US people are starting to reconsider the some marrage laws due to women maturing faster then ever before. Sooner or later I could see the US adjusting laws to allow a 16 year old to marry no questions asked due to this. Is it wrong that things might change to this? No. In today's society it would be viewed socially wrong, but tomorrow society will question somethings and change view points.

As with the murder of innocent people, it happens throughout history no matter what religion, culture, nation, belief system you look at. Do you really think the USA does not have the blood of innocent people on their hands? How about the Roman Cathlolic Church? Heck, even God has innocent blood on his hands.
