Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Abbie Heppe (G4TV): Metroid: Other M is Sexist

Sexist? With characters like Bayonetta, Samus is sexist? So games where females look like whores that kick as is not sexist. While characters whom(even if written poorly) that are insecure, not familiar with human culture and had to go through a lot of crap. Whom is detached and monotonic(detached tone), but isn't constantly given ass shots. Is sexist?

Do you get the feeling that they are just trying to find any excuse to pick on Nitnendo?

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

-facepalms- How did I miss that? Well I wouldn't go as far to say that pointing to a WORSE example of sexism destroys any idea of sexism for another example, but that is a good point. Samus has always been portrayed tastefully and not in a lesser light than males in the series while characters like Bayonetta are really just the game creator's personal fantasy and is primarily a sex object to be oggled

Here's a shot of Samus from the GBA Metroid zero mission and one from Smash Bros Brawl

Which older titles instead of her being in a suit she was in bikini/underwear

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

Okay, so the flashbacks are of when Samus was young and immature, growing into who she is later becomes. Her problem is that Samus acts intimidated and that makes her a weak girl? Also that she can't use her moves because her formal commanding officer says she can't? Who cares, that is how it progresses. This woman is really annoying me.

When she goes with the team, she's more or less on a military mission, where adam is the defacto commander. So that makes sense.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

You know. Samus may be a pixel...but DAMN!!! :D

Maybe she is jealous that samus is lot hotter than she is?
