It's probably just them inputting the numbers into the wrong game. Something like this has happened before, it only needs to be pointed out, and it will be fixed.

On topic, X360 sales are pretty nasty. I think my prediction for its WW monthly sales is going to end up smaller than America's alone. If the X360 can regularly outsell or match the PS3 at the same price point once things level off, that would be pretty amazing. The whole "room for price cuts" advantage for the PS3 would have been lost!

The Wii is slowing down for the summer, looks like NSMB Wii couldn't hold up as long as I hoped. Already it dropped below 100k WW, since its only strong region now is America. The Wii in Others will need something new (like Vitality) for the holidays, I don't think the old school Nintendo franchises will help much there...

The outstanding Xbox 360 sales should come as no surprise since sales were depressed in anticipation of the new model as well as people "trading in" to get the new console.

The latter makes me wonder -- how many sales of all systems are replacements vs. how many are to new owners?

For example (and to show I am not being unkind to the Xbox), I just replaced my son's DS because it was shorting out.  It counts as a new purchase but he is not a new owner.
