The deal with activision makes no since. MS should focus more on internally developed software.

Metal Gear Rising was really impressive. It will be a huge hit.

Gears3 will be epic! No pun intended.

Fable 3 will be another hit in the action genre.

Halo Game play and weapons looked great, but to me the graphic’s where dull.

Kinect was great, but I can see Pseye  being capable of doing some if not most of everything shown on Kinect. I said Hy to Christan? Sharing movies with friends was a unique feature all done by simple voice commands or a simple wave of the hand, but for me it’s all about the games not multimedia even though that’s where the industry is going. I'm not going to be watching movies on Kinect cause I see it as a gaming device.

Fell asleep on the ESPN stuff. LoL!

Kinect animals was nice and showed off Kinect’s graphic’s well, but like I pet it’s not my kind of thing!

Either way, the girl that demoed kinect animals looked retarded.

Running in place is so first grade! The casual market will have fun with this. I was looking for more Milo type stuff, and games that where more hardcore, but I was left disappointed.

Pretending like your driving a car with no steering weal makes you look stupid, but it’s more for the casual crowd. Kinect Adventure is also more for the casual crowd. Action Photos also a good feature.

I didn't see a game that appealed to me on connect?

I’d rather use kinect than buy some fitness DVDs to workout with. Who knows, It might be cheaper! (it will be cheaper) you will still need weights for Resistance training. Your guaranteed a work out though. Zen is better achieved with nature, but a quite room works just as good. And of course there would be a dancing game. No way around that!

New 360 looks sex and it’s good they didn’t wait until the fall to release it. I can see current 360 owners trading there current consoles in for the new version. A spike in sell s is imminent.

Verdict: I give Microsoft a B for E3. srry for the small text.

Not to mention that Kinetc will use a custom port (not the standard USB), so old xbox 360's won't be Kinect compatible(at least not compatible with the 149$ kinetc).

That's pretty silly...

Thats false.  Where did you hear that?

Stupid that Microsoft put's the new 360 in the market like that. No time to promote AT ALL. Sony builded up a giant hype to september when it released. Now they released it in a low selling season. Now not many people will buy it , and when the holiday season is here the hype will be over

The flip side of that was that Sony's sales plummeted for July and August as a result of the wait.  I believe NPD had the PS3 once again dipping below the PS2 for those months.  Microsoft understandably would prefer to avoid that.

Well your right about that. But I think Sony has a price-drop on it's sleve with could boost sales for the summer months and before the Holiday season they will release GT5 and some other nice AAA titels like Resistance 3 and LPB2. I don't think that Microsoft can take over Japan , just no way. Europe is slipping out of Microsoft's hands and with another price-cut and also GT5 wich has a huge fan-base in Europe it will only fall away even further. America has been Xbox minded since it release and won't be taken over by Sony. The only thing Sony can do with America is preventing from Microsoft to build up even more sales for Xbox. It's enough for Sony to take some sales away from Microsoft in America but it's critical for them to pull ahead in Europe and stay ahead in Japan and maybey then they will even be able to pull them selfs to second place.

I think for all of the households that ALREADY have an Xbox, odds are good that if there's a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house, Kinect would be a likely purchase.

For all those households without out one, no. Assuming the Kinect kits are $150 on top of a $300 console, no. Everyone will not be buying this. That is simply not accessible enough. If that's the pricing scenario, most of those with casual interest who said "yes, I'd like to play that!" will end up saying "no, I won't pay that much."

I think the demographic for the 360 is the 18-30 male, which is less likely to have a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house.

What about a girlfriend?

Nope.  The core demographic has very few girlfriends, so that is why they don't get the entire dance, exercise and animals programs.  Unless it has gore, and explosions and body parts all over, there isn't a seeing of the appeal.

Of course I oversimplify by a WIDE margin, but the pages and pages of complaints are doing the same thing here.

-Horrible E3 for Microsoft. They totally copied the shitty Nintendo conference of 2009, minus the surprises of golden sun, and metroid other m.

-Totally also not that intrigued by Fable III, nor GoW3, nor Halo Reach. I guess it's franchise fatigue, too much of the same, in very little time. It's how i also felt when nintendo just kept crapping Mario games.

-Anyways, Nintendo has pretty much won E3, it was Microsofts to win, and they fucked it up so bad. Horrible casual wii like shit games, and lack of core games.

-The only reason i bought an Xbox 360, was because it was a cheap alternative to the PS3, and now the release a SLIM, with the same price of the superior PS3. WTF is microsoft thinking.

-Kinetic will fail, and microsoft diserves it for not being innovative, no wonder the creator of the original Xbox jumped shipt. This will end in a disaster. I'm so fuckin dissapointed in Microsoft. The only reason i will keep my xbox 360 is that the multi-plats will still come, i'm beginning to be tempted to buy a PS3. Come on sony, give us a PRICE DROP, and fuck Microsoft, they diserve it. Slim 360 for $299. FUCK THAT

If any of that is true, then it makes even less sense for Microsoft to delay its price cut until September.

Wow that was one of a poor show...

@themanwithnoname, I'm a Fable fan, it didn't excite me.  Just my opinion but I'm glad at least some people found promise in it.

The thing they screwed up with Fable 2 was that before you even reached the end game you could have already leveled up completely.  So there was no such thing as a mage, or a fighter.  Every character became skilled in every aspect.

Typical RPGs at least make it where if you specialize in something you suck very much at the things you don't specialize in, Fable 1 followed that formula and hense forth was replayable at least.  I was more excited about the kingdom governing features of Fable 3 and the possible Kinect use and neither of those were shown.

I just found the way they tried to pitch the last one to be a little...well, weird for my liking.

Fable II is only behind the Mass Effects as my favorite 360 game. I'm excited to see the stuff you mentioned as well, but I will say that I've always found WRPGs to be at a complete disadvantage when it comes to showing a demo compared to FPS's or JRPG's where you can just show off the battle system. They just don't demo well imo.

Well I respect your opinion.  I did enjoy Fable 2, but more as an action game than an RPG.  I got the full 1,000 gamerscore so obviously I liked it, but if they had made the change I suggested I would have played through it potentially 3 times.

I can kind of see what you mean about WRPG demos but their have been successful ones.  Fallout 3 comes to mind a few years back.  And as far as JRPGs, I find that they are the games that usually just show cutscenes and CGI instead of actual gameplay.

Chances are I will love Fable 3, but in this case I would have rather seen a gameplay demo. I do like the supposed story of the two brothers though and the dark looking Albion.

Thanks for responding to me by the way, now I know at least one person in this entire thread read anything I said :)
