I think for all of the households that ALREADY have an Xbox, odds are good that if there's a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house, Kinect would be a likely purchase.

For all those households without out one, no. Assuming the Kinect kits are $150 on top of a $300 console, no. Everyone will not be buying this. That is simply not accessible enough. If that's the pricing scenario, most of those with casual interest who said "yes, I'd like to play that!" will end up saying "no, I won't pay that much."

I think the demographic for the 360 is the 18-30 male, which is less likely to have a daughter/wife/grandmother in the house.

What about a girlfriend?

Nope.  The core demographic has very few girlfriends, so that is why they don't get the entire dance, exercise and animals programs.  Unless it has gore, and explosions and body parts all over, there isn't a seeing of the appeal.

Of course I oversimplify by a WIDE margin, but the pages and pages of complaints are doing the same thing here.
