Why isnt baseball more popular in Europe?
Same reason cricket isn't very popular in mainland Europe.
Still I would take Baseball, NFL, Ice Hockey, and basketball over Soccer any day of the week in spite of the fact that we don't have more than marginal national interest in any of those sports and Soccer dwarfs all of them in my country by a margin of 10:1 combined. Its all about what you like to watch and you wouldn't catch me watching a soccer game even if it was the world cup final.
Out of interest, what about football (soccer) do you find boring to watch? I find it far faster and entertaining than either baseball or NFL.

Because it's American?
Lol, no, because it's generally very slow. Very stop-start-stop-start. That and you have to understand cricket/baseball and get into it to truly enjoy watching it... either that or get very drunk. Both sports offer ample piss break time!
Soccer's pretty dumb. That's why. Noone plays it here in Canada either.
yeah just that you have to think
how much force you neeed to hit the ball?
how much height you need to hit a ball at?
at what angle you need to hit the ball?
need to think what shot selection you should use?
think how you should dribble to get off the defender?
We don't subscribe to that brand of football here.
cause its a boring sport, now chess is a very fun sport
Because American doesn't know what is Football. They don't know even the right name. Doens't existe "Soccer". It's Football. Foot Ball = Football.
When they learn this they will know what is Football.
Redundant discussion on the day the FIFA World Cup starts.
In fact, only very few people on this planet care why soccer/football isn't more popular in the US, but hundreds of millions of people all over the world will follow the World Cup during the next 4 weeks (even 1 or 2 people from the US).
BTW: We had the same redundant discussion about soccer several times before on VGC, with similar replies and sub-discussions. This is just one example: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=19912
