Good point. This is a powerful reminder of just how far Sony fell in 2007.

While you there, can you tell Sony the PSPGo will not be a good idea. Thanks.

Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo ODST, Halo Wars. GT, GT2, GT3 Aspec, GT4 Prologue, GT4, GT5 Prologue. By definition, there's only one more game than the Halo series, but on the Chartz, two of those are just demos, right? o.O

Gran Turismo PSP and three Gran Turismo Concept games (Tokyo, Tokyo-Seoul, Tokyo-Geneva). Whether you consider them demos or not, they are still part of the Gran Turismo franchise, and most would consider them as such when adding up total sales for a series. (There is also GT4: Online, though I would understand if you didn't count that one.)
Anyway, I reiterate, this entire issue is just childish and Greenberg needs to shape up or ship out.

You're kidding, surely. The hardware and digital downloads are both so laughably overpriced that even with their poor sales, it is probably a profitable enough venture to dampen the losses they incur from selling PS3s.
I wish Sony's PR team would release shit like this thread just to shut up MS gun toting and posturing.
hasanwhy said: Childish? Yes What's the point of this debate? To spout around random facts that already have been known for quite some time. I mean I knew that Halo 3 sold almost 10 million units months ago, and now Greenburg decides to tweet about it. Wow, just wow. Both of the HD twins have their heavy weights like Gran Turismo for the Playstation and Halo for the Xbox. But it is a little disappointing to see that there has already been 3 Halo games this generation and just one GT game. ( I don't count prologue or HD concept as a full game ) |
i view odst as an expansion, and halo wars as an added game mode so i don't count them as a full game...
If a game is sold for full retail its a game... There have been 3 halos and 2 GTs released this gen. Soon both franchises will release 1 more.
Ether way the pokemon series has outsold all GTs and Halos combined twicefold and its not even nintendo's biggest franchise... now thats something impressive
When someone's spinning the worst thing to to is put even more spinning to it. My eyes go @_@

No. As of December 2009, GT5P sold 4.65 Million. More than a huge definitive hyped up game in the same genre. GT PSP had sold 1.8 Million. But hey, PSP game. More than likely it has been illegally downloaded two times for every copy sold at retail. And what do you mean "supposedly"? |
You're just begging for an ODST/Killzone 2 comparison with this post.
Haha I love it!!!!
Amazing sales for an amazing series though.
Well, one thing for sure is after GT5, we can still hope for GT6 in another 5 years. However Halo Reach will be the swan song of Bungie, so no matter how much it sells, it would be the LAST. Halo Legend 2 by other studio just aren't the same, so Microsoft better hope more soccer moms pick up their Natal Dancing.
