If you're looking for a great fun game with a lot of classic RPG elements get Yakuza 3

yeah, Bayonetta is kinda in my list, along with the 2 Bioshocks, Resonance of fate was there too but now i'm doubting. Whats up with Yakuza 3? Wasn't it like a GTA for japan, and sorta monotone...

I hope you're seriously not about to get Star Ocean 4...
It's not a terrible game, but after getting excited to be able to play the game and finally getting it in my hands...it was very undewhelming.
You'd be better off getting FF13, regardless of how "linear" it is, it's way more fun than exploring in SO4.
Resonance of Fate, Demon Souls, Valkyria Chronicles are much better alternatives.

I recommend Final Fantasy XIII, the first half of the game is linear, but then it becomes open, I recommend it. It's a great experience

and there is many more on the way, I am not really into RPGs, so I don't know a whole lot about them, but other ones to look for are KZ3, RES 3 , Infamous 2 , Socom 4 , LBP2 , Rage , Fallout new Vegas, COD Black Ops, Crysis 2 , Medal of Honor , there is more, I just can't remember them all right now, Good Luck, ENJOY.

No, it's nothing like GTA; it's more like Shenmue. Watch GameSpot's video review of Yakuza 3. I showed this to a friend, and he bought and loved it afterwards.

Yakuza 3 has a fantastic story, and the final chapters are incredibly well-done. It has a slow start since the first couple of chapters are basically used for introducing/developing the characters and setting up the plot, but it pays off in the end.

Resonance of Fate is for the hardcore JRPG gamer; it's arduous, lengthy and requires a lot of grinding & strategy.
