Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Alan Wake non-internet advertising: "Where you at?"

I don't know, its very disappointing from MS, they need market their games well

Around the Network

MS had previously promised a summer blockbuster movie like advertising budget. Obviously this hasn't happened. I really don't know why, unless they either shifted dollars to Natal marketing or lowered their expectations for Alan Wake.

No I haven't. The marketing campaign for Alan Wake seems small. :/

A demo would be nice also.

I was surprised they usually market well

But the good thing is the game sold well in the UK despite low marketing & Lost Planet 2 despite LOTS of marketing sold less rofl!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

No TV's ads but Alan Wake is plastered all over the EB Games and JB Hi FI's in Melbourne. I'm surprised it hasn't got a demo though, need to try before I buy.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

According to GAF it sold 36k so it wasn't that well. MS really needed to advertise this!
