So I was online on MH3 today, just trying to get the feel for the online (second time i had been on). When i finally figured how to talk with out a key board or wii speak, and i thought,"wow...this sucks". so i figured i would get wii speak soon. But then i saw someone ask who had a keyboard, and 2 in our party of 4 had on. so i began to think "would a keyboard be better, because im not sure how many people have or use wii speak". i dont want to spend $20 plus for something i may rarely use. But then i dont want to have to spend the same amount of $$$ on a keyboard for the same reason, because im not sure how many people use a keyborad. im also wondering if new multiplayer games (i.e. Conduit 2) will even support the keyboard.

So my question to you is: Should i get wii speak or a keyboard? i will have the money for either this weekend.

well, me the same here, haven't used the used the wii speak, some prefer the kb others the ws, but i'll go with the speak

It seems to me that Keyboard would be preferable unless everyone in the party had Wii Speak

I've got my keyboard, and that's what i'm sticking with. It's easier for me to more clearly express my thoughts. Which is odd because i loathe cell phone texting and much prefer talking on phones.

Would anyone be up to playing monster hunter tri with me? I have wii speak and I just finished the offline story and looking to start online play

you can get a keyboard for less than 20 for sure and it is a better option imho... you can only use wii speak with people who also have one and there are not that many in MH Tri I believe, and I've also heard that the audio quality is not the best out there

yea def get the keyboard.

A lot of people use Skype or Ventrilo, or even Xbox Live for party chat, if you have one of those.  I don't know about figuring that out with a bunch of strangers though.  What I did was get my friends to get the game, and then figured out speaking options from there.

any usb keyboard works, so it's hard not to have one.
