The next time you go to a 7-Eleven, you might be able to pick up a bargain video game with your Slurpee.

The convenience store chain announced a partnership Tuesday with Game Trading Technologies to install the "Great Games Below $20" program in over 3,000 of its locations. According to Marketwatch, that represents roughly half of the 7-Elevens in the United States.

Your one stop shop for games and Slurpees.

And just like that, 7-11 is a major player in the used video game market. That's bad news for GameStop, but great news for consumers. As Game Trading Technologies (GTT) CEO Todd Hayes puts it: "What this means to consumers is that they will have many convenient locations, most open 24/7, to buy value-priced video games." [...]

Right, because their game business was booming before.

Of course I guess they could give you Slurpee credit and that would be liquid gold for the stoners.

Meh... they're setting themselves for a loss.

They have a few games at my location, pretty good prices all things considered. I don't think they are stocking enough games to really hurt them financially if they don't sell, just 10-15 per store.
