The next time you go to a 7-Eleven, you might be able to pick up a bargain video game with your Slurpee.
The convenience store chain announced a partnership Tuesday with Game Trading Technologies to install the "Great Games Below $20" program in over 3,000 of its locations. According to Marketwatch, that represents roughly half of the 7-Elevens in the United States.
And just like that, 7-11 is a major player in the used video game market. That's bad news for GameStop, but great news for consumers. As Game Trading Technologies (GTT) CEO Todd Hayes puts it: "What this means to consumers is that they will have many convenient locations, most open 24/7, to buy value-priced video games." [...]
