I think it won't be the best looking game at it's time. Sure it looks fantastic, especially the lighting, but by looking at the gameplay footage of Alan Wake I can't really say that it will look better than Uncharted 2 or God of War 3. Of course, we'll have to wait until release so that we can enjoy it by ourselves to know it for sure. In the end, it doesn't matter, graphics is not all...

I don't think this has anything to do with AW, but...really? Are there so many games on PC that have better graphics than the best graphics consoles have to offer this gen? You think graphics is all about high framerate, resolution and a bunch of effects thrown in for good measure, superb AA, field depth, motion blur, HDr lighting etc? oh no my friend, it's not about that. It's about design, and (cool) stuff happening on screen, physics and animation, and cinematic direction. You can have a powerful PC graphics card make a game "look better" than its console counterpart, but that's about it. Powerful PC graphic cards can't magically make awesome animation, awesome physics, cinematic presentation, cool designs and mix it up with functional, engrossing gameplay. I dare you find me one PC game that looks as good as Uncharted 2. Find just one. And I mean the whole package, so don't throw me your "Crysis bone" man, 'cause that game is PLAIN and GENERIC, not much stuff happens, animation and physics are nothing extraordinary that a console can't handle (and have done better), direction is stale, and so is the whole graphics' design.

Heck no, I am sure it will look good, but I don't think it will be in the same league as U2, GOW3, KZ2, If it was we would of seen some other games by now that are getting closer, They all said the same about SC conviction, Oh it is going to have the best graphics of any console, Sorry not even close, It looks OK, but Bioshock 2 looks better. I am hoping the game will be fun at this point, for some reason having one of the main weapons being a flashlight just does not seem very exciting to me, but we will see, I am thinking about buying, hopfully they will release a demo so I can see a bit more of what the game is about. I really do hope its a great game, if done right , the story looks like it will have potencial for a great game.
