Forums - Sony Discussion - IGN: LittleBIGPlanet 2 unofficially revealed.

PS MOVE support is coming to LBP, and the 3d aspect of the game would add a whole new dimension of gameplay..

They should leave LBP alone. Perhaps they could make a spinoff. A LBP Kart Racing game where you could create your own character, and car. Maybe even create your own tracks!! I'd call it Racers of Mod Nation or something.

LOL! Sony should hire you

A level editor in which you can craft objects in 3d with two motion controllers would justify the upgrade to any of the creators I know (including myself). I really hope they keep the core gameplay in a 2d platforming style, because the the four player modes are really what make the game so fun (and accessible).

I'm glad to hear about a new game, but for an odd reason. Media Molecule has been so quiet this year with DLC releases which add things to the game, I was starting to worry we wouldn't get any more game-changers like the paint gun and the water. But if they're working on a sequel, they've probably got a bunch of them they're going to release all at once! Yeah Baby!

LBP 2,5D like Crash Bandicoot would be nice.

Not a good idea imo.. the game is selling and will coninue to sell throughout the PS3's entire life cycle..

Bundle the game, and make money off the DLC. Don't make a sequel, because that goes against the game's philosophy.

Carl made a good post above, I'm not sure all of that could be done with DLC.

Surely you want a nice new LBP leo?!!

It's sony's best new IP this gen (yes I believe better than uncharted) and from what I know MM arnt the type to just churn out any old sequel, It'll be different than the first.

BETTER THAN UNCHARTED!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Also, given that they have never made another game, we don't know about them churning out sequels, but they are still a tiny studio, though they have expanded from 25 people to 40 (according to wiki)

Anyway, I would expect a LBP expansion pack rather than an actual LBP 2, even if it did, I would expect backwards compatibility of some sort

Awesome. At first I thought just having new updates would be fine, but adding water really showed that they need to upgrade the engine at some point.

Can't wait to find out more. LBP is my favorite game this generation, and I can only assume a sequel will top it. :D

And to those lamenting the possible loss of old community levels in the new game, I wouldn't be surprised if Media Molecule allowed us to access levels from LBP through LBP2.

This is the sony fanboy way of saying "water levels made the game nigh unplayable because of framerate drops".
