I would describe all of those games as good, none as 'not to be missed' Metroid as an example - it's an incredible game, but most people have very little interest in the genre and series.

People need to stop confusing 'must have' and 'really really good'

Personally, I have no interest in 4 of the FPS, I've played a decent amount of the three CoDs listed, and Halo 3 and found them not to my liking. However I still have wet dreams about Portal. I'm sure for other people it's the exact opposite

As Portal is not a shooter ( although First person ) I will include it under Genre Other ( Games like Heavy Rain etc that have a random genreness).

You have orange box in shooter, which includes portal, afaik

Yes. That was an awkward decision. Orange Bx included HL2, Eps 1 and 2. TF2 and Portal. LOL. So in essence Portal probably helped the score. Still it's a shooter set in essence. Thats my theory anyway. However Portal Still Alive released on it's own.

OP states according to Meta scores. I wanted to have a guage rather than just a personal opinion list. That way some of us may look and decide to try a game we haven't tried. :)

Me to. However this isn't my personal list. It's a continuous list to see top 10 according to reviews. :)
