Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why did Gran Turismo 5 bomb?

I know Gran Turismo 5 has had really good preorder numbers, but in keeping with the latest posting trends on here, I feel it is important to take the declaring something a bomb saleswise even further.  Gran Turismo 5 has ZERO post-preorder sales.  I mean zero!  You would figure a game as huge as Gran Turismo 5 would have had really good post-preorder sales, right?  But it has none!  Wow, talk about a bomb!

I figured that, since titles on here are said to be bombs based on a few weeks worth of sales numbers, we might as well roll things back even further. And for that matter, it is VERY disappointing Gears of War 3 also has zero sales numbers to!

april fools? lol

I chuckled a little.

Because it has Move support for head-tracking, it is a casual title - the very sort of thing with which no self respecting gamer would have anything to do.

Yep, pre-release sales are terrible at this point on... I mean not a single living creature even bought a copy before its released
