Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda Wii release date confirmed?

I doubt it will happen. They have shown us absolutely nothing. Too add, gamestop always gets they're dates wrong.

Definitely a placeholder date... November 1 is a Monday... who releases any kind of entertainment medium (CDs, DVDs, games) on a Monday?!?

Lately Nintendo has been releasing their big games on a Sunday, so I'd put my money on Nov 21, 2010 being the official release date of the next Wii Zelda, because that's the start of the Thanksgiving/Black Friday week and thus the official kickoff of the holiday shopping spree season.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I spoke to a Gamestop employee a few weeks agonies when I was browsing thier pre-orders. I was told it was an approximate date.us

Echoeing what everyone else is saying, this is an estimate. Yes I expect it this year but no I highly doubt GameStop knows when that date is and if GameStop higher ups did know they would likely be held back by a non-disclosure agreement!

Even if it is or not an aproximated date is practically a confirmation that Zelda Wii will be released worldwide in November 2010.
OMG! Can't wait for E3: Xenoblade, The Last Story,....ZELDA!!!

No Iwata saying it's going to release this holiday season is practically a confirmation, Gamestop putting a random date in their database means nothing.

Just because certain companies like to release screenshots and videos of their game that's been in development for five years every single week, it doesn't mean that Nintendo will take that route as well. NSMBWii was unveiled at E3 last year lest we forget.

Most likely a placeholder, i agree, but not impossible. The 1st of November is a monday, but i'm not sure if Nintendo would want to reserve a coveted Sunday release for this, too (Spirit Tracks didn't get one)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

November 1st is probably just their place holder date for Holiday 2010

I think GameStop has a placeholder release date for the PlayStation 9.

It only does everything...simultaneously?
