Dude i watched this on 4000p and i must say it looked ... really bad :/
On a serious note, the trailer barely shows anything at night. Wtf?
Like I said in other threads.
This would be very impressive by the time GT5 Prologue was released, but after DiRT 2, I have the strong feeling that GRID 2 will look just as good.
Forza 4 also being a strong contender.
What I'm trying to say is, that GT5 doesn't look that superior compared to other games anymore and that Polyphony should better release it soon.

I agree with everything you just said.
It looks good. Car models and lighting are fantastic. But the environments, well they definitely need some touch-up but I'm sure they'll do that in the final touches.
I heard someone comment that it was photorealistic. I say to that person, they need to go outside more haha.
Can you compare that to other games? Well sure you can. Certain genres shouldn't be excluded just because of certain technicalities. But on a technical level, I think what has been done in God of War 3 and Alan Wake and Uncharted 2 are a little more impressive than what is being done in GT5 just for the sake of what they have created rather than replicated.
But a lot of people are excited for this as they love their simulation racers. Me? Well I just don't like simulation racers at all but that's why they have so many different genres. Different strokes for different folks.

really? 4000p? Id love to have your TV..
On topic:
Its not as easy as you guys think.. its 1920 X 1080 at 60FPS, its very hard to pull those kind of graphics at such a high resolution and framerate, that is, if it actually is 1920 X 1080, since prologue was 1280 X 1080 which is still a much higher resolution than 720p.

the trailer looked absolutely amazing. I am stunned. Was gonna get Forza 3, but I may just wait for this.
