My mind is going a bit wild as I am still not sure what to expect heh. At the moment I am thinking of sitting on my couch playing a game and having mini heart attacks from stuff jumping at me.

Well two things.  One Sony is the other competitor in the handheld market (although some might think iPhone as well but no haha).  And hten of course Sony has been the big one on pushing 3D gaming.  So that's why I'm curious to see what they think of this, as they may have something similar in the works or even caught with their pants down haha.  I think we all expected another PSP to come out, but I think now we can almost confirm it WILL COME OUT and SOON haha.

I hope the 3D is not a popout box that looks like those interactive popout books. That's what these new 3D TVs and 95% of the 3D movies in the movie theater are like to me.

I must admit, this whole 3d thing has me thinking about some kind of holographic display, which would be quite impressive. I've only bought Nintendo DS as gifts, but I'll have to get a 3ds for myself if it meets my expectations.

Though I wonder if Sony will also be accused of "copying" nintendo even though they were the first out of the three to really hype up 3d gaming.

Now, I'll have to put Nintendo as the most intriguing E3 showing this year. I'm very curious.

I'm sorry but sony hasn't done anything for 3D gaming so far... Nvidia is the big one pushing it

That is a tech that is fully operational on PC guys (games don't even need patches, just to have a free refresh rate to be compatible), no console maker can pretend to have initiated it.

considering development time for a new console, it's likely that N was working on this new DS before the whole "we'll patch the PS3 for  3D" thing... then again the pioniers that made it popular for gaming in 3D is Nvidia on PC, not sony, nor nintendo... who don't have a single game out so far.
