Forums - Gaming Discussion - So Ps3 basicly becomes Wii+Xbox360...What reason not to buy Ps3 then?

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo systems.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

What about that Phillips knockoff?

To be honest the PS3 is the least attractive console for me as its game selection doesn't agree with mine. Plus there hasn't been announced a single motion controlled game that actually looks good yet.

Natal looks interesting though.

once the psp launch it's all over for nintendo ds.

once the ps3 launch it's all over for X360

once the ps3 home launch is all over for x360.

once the ps3 move launch it is all over for the Wii AND natal X360

Maybe it's the fact that Sony was once on top of the mountain in this industry, and the fall from grace has been swift and brutal. The worst thing about being on top is the fall to the bottom, and maybe the transition from PS2 dominance to PS3 heel-dragging has had a damaging effect on the fanboy psyche, leaving them vulnerable and insecure. Maybe fanboys are suffering from a severe case of paranoid delusion, brought about by denial that the PS3 is in third place when once Sony was leading the charge.

Wii is $200.
Extra Wiimote and Nunchuk = $70?
$270

PS3 is $300
PSEye + Move + Game = $100
Move + 2 x Subcontroller = ~$130
$530.

As others have said in this thread you don't get mario ar zelda. But another reason would be the price of a p3s and move. Why buy a ps3 with motion controls when you could have a xbox360 and a wii for the same price.

For the same reason PS3 is in last place since the dawn of time: lack of compelling software.

The price will always be the strongest reason

No Mario Kart, no NSMBW, no Wii Fit, no Halo, no Mass Effect, no pc-to-console streaming, no $200 price point, no IR port for my fancy Logitech Harmony remote... yeah. NO is the reason why not to buy a PS3 :)

Or, as everyone else seems to know - Price.
