However, I think a lot of people just don't give the Wiimote with WM+ enough credit simply because the devs don't give it enough credit.

Actually it is Nintendo who "aren't giving WM+ enough credit". Not replacing the Wiimote with a Wiimote+ was a big mistake, one that will make WM+ another underused peripheral just like the Balance Board and Wii Speak.

Seriously, I still don't know what they were thinking. Their reasoning used to be "not all games need WM+", which is true. But for developers to jump on the WM+ bandwagon, there needs to be a userbase they can count on. Nintendo could have made WM+ the new standard in no time, but they decided not to.

This is where the announcement article fails:

"However, ignoring pricing, ..."

Pricing has a lot to do with it. The Wii has this straight out of the box. The PS3 is looking at somewhere between $50 to $100 for a peripheral with limited strong software support at present.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Aren't there WM+ Wii bundles available nowadays, with both Wii Sports and WS Resort for nearly the same price as the old bundle without WM+ and WSR? I know I've seen that in stores here in Czech Republic, the new bundle (and it was a black one) was like 10 more bucks (when I look at the current exchange rate) compared to the old one.

"Sony even said it on stage: the PlayStation Move is meant to attract the Wii user ready to move into the world of HD. "

It will be very interesting to see if they migrate...... Time will tell. I really think that it's not the Motion controler, ........... it's the Family oriented games that the Wii offers. If Sony can attract more Family and teen games, then they will follow.

this thing may turn good or bad for Sony

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!

I have to say, I did not want to be skeptical about their Move. But after seeing it in action at the press conference on AOTS this (early) morning, I got a bit dissappointed after I saw that Move Fighter demo. It really was laggy, I just hope those technical shortcoming won't hurt it. And then there was the pricing wich I thought was pretty high. If it was around $50, it would've a bit of a chance. But all of this would severely hurt the sales, if they don't fix one those aspects. Have to admit though, showing what it can on an existing patform kinda redeemed the value.

I'll give them A for effort, though!

Wii users dont care about HD if they did cara about HD they would not had bough a Wii in first place , besides without something like New Super Bros , or Wii-Fit or Wii sports caliber software that thing is going no where.

Yes that's true, but it could have been much more by now, and all additional controllers you buy still have to be upgraded by separate WM+ units. I, for example, still don't own a WM+.

The new bundle looks like Nintendo is only reacting, now that they realized that virtually no third party developer supports the WM+! Red Steel 2, that's all.

I get the motion controls being potentially improved with this setup. I also see the improvement for pointer control when the reticule goes off-screen. But I don't see on-screen pointers being as accurate. With the Wii you have one camera and two reference points (two led clusters on the sides of the bar.) With Move you have the camera and one reference point (the glowing ball.) If the ball is in the same space but the direction pointing changes by swinging the back of it around, the Move will have to augment its direction with motion control. I think this is why it has to recalibrate just to point.
